Below we have compiled a list of opportunities where you can get involved with our church family. MINISTRY NAME	MINISTRY DUTIES

Parking	Direct people to parking bays and control traffic after the service

Greeters	Welcome people into church and hand out pamphlets etc as necessary

Ushers	Help with emergency situations, seating and flow of people, handouts and collections, safety and   security, general operations of service, cleaning of hall.

Hospitality	Serve refreshments, clean up after services/functions and prepare for functions and communion

Resource Desk	Provide information re: DFC ministries/events etc as well as answer questions about DFC/refer to   appropriate person

Sound Team	Make sure sound system functions in all areas of the building and regulate sound during services

Media Team	Control images on screens on Sundays   Video: create video footage (scriptwriting, filming, editing, creating 3D animation etc)   Lighting: done by lighting engineer and controller   Print media (designers and writers): Faith Talk (monthly newsletter), pamphlets, banners, course material   Online media: internet development and design

KidROC   (Children's Church)	Facilitating Biblical training and education together with the parents on a Sunday morning   Yellow group: 18-36 months   Green group: 3-4 years   Red group: 5-6 years   Blue group: 7 years and up  --  read more  --

Worship Team	Provide instrumental and vocal support during worship times.

Drama Team	Skits, video clips, full length feature films (!) – the possibilities are endless. Auditions coming up.   Bravehearts plays: popular children’s theatre, production every term   Bravehearts media: DVDs and a proposed CD of Bravehearts children’s songs

ROC   (Teens from Gr7 - Gr12)	ROC stands for Redefine Our Culture.  Join us at out weekly Friday night youth meetings at the DMC house (15 Krisant Street) from 19:00 to 21:00.  --  read more  --

Durbanville Master’s   Commission

We can serve our Bible school students in a few ways:   Adopt-a-student: invite a student(s) on an outing or provide some holiday entertainment and   accommodation for those who can’t make it home for the holidays.   Host homes: DMC has 2 intakes a year - in January and September (for overseas students). It might be   necessary to place students in host homes.   Fundraising projects: help organise fundraising eg. golf day etc   Sponsor-a-student: Many students cannot finance their own studies.  --  read more  --

Mercy Ministries

Extending help to those less fortunate in both our membership domain, local neighborhood and   underprivileged communities.  We do this through the following avenues:   Fisantekraal projects: includes support of a woman who cares for the aged in her community.   Food parcels: there are families in our church/community who are battling financially. Home Cells	These groups are vital to church life; they are where we grow spiritually, learn about God and where we   love, serve and care for one another. Our home cells also work together with the mentoring   environment. Click here to view the home cell list for a group in your area.
